The Holy Bible in 1 year - Day 154

Good day! Let's read psalms 123 to 126. Psalm 123 is a prayer for mercy. We are God's servants not in that we are not free, but in the respect that we desire and need His mercy. It ia our way of being to want His mercy, which is to want His love; and in His love lies our freedom. In psalm 124 the author lesses God for the wonderous things He has done to us. And we are invited to realizethat throu Him, through His name, through Jesus Christ we are blessed; the blessing the LORD offers us is redemption. We find ourselves in His salvation because otherwise wewould not be at all. Psalm 125 continues these ideas and shows us that in Jesus Christ lies our salvation; for He ended the dominion of evil over us, and thus gave us life back. Throu Him we live because He has taken the oppression of evil away from us and replacd it with His bountiful blessings. Psalm 126 is given to show us the fate of those who are doers of good, of those who are redeemed. In these words we see Jesus's promises to us , made through the sermon on the mount, fulfilled. Those who cry are conforted, those who were prisoners of war are set free, those who mourn find happiness; and all these are done for the glorification of the Name of the LORD.

PSALM 123
Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

PSALM 124
If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

PSALM 125
They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

PSALM 126
When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
