Love and the light of the world

In 1John 4:8 we are told " Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." Later in 1John 4:16 it is written "God is love".
This love , the love that comes from God and finds a place in our hearts, is the love that made all things be. This love trully is the light of the world. And in a time such as this, we must be thankfull for the light that has been given unto us. We must be thankfull for what we have freely received and this is His love. In God's Love lies the ultimate reason for everything, from the creation, to His sacrifce, from our redemption to the Kingdom of Heaven that has been prepared for us from the foundation of the world. In love lie all reasons. And if we receive such blessings it is right that we ask ourselves this question: " Are we worthy of them". Surely, it is a wonderfull thing that the LORD does not judge on a merit based system, and gives His love and blessings without measure. But if we are to say that we love the LORD, then we must ask ourselves this question. And this is not a yes or no question, because we must dwell on judgementalisms, but this question requires a reflection. If we are to be trully worthy of God's love, then we must be perfect, just like He is perfect and His love is perfect. And the thing here is not to fall into an existentian connundrum about the inachievability of such perfection, rather we should always seek it, without asking if it is achievable or not. Like our LORD Jesus Christ said: " all things are possible to him that believes". And such , let us set our sights to this: let's be worthy of God great Love. And through what could such worthyness be achieved? The answer is only one: we can achieve this through love. The love for our God and the love for our neighbour. Through love we can be on the path to achieving perfection, because everything is done by God through His love. And this feat, that we should be worthy of His love, that we should be perfect like Him just as He demanded from us, is not a feat of ours, it is a feat of the LORD done upon us.  For without love, without His love we can only confess like Paul " I am nothing".

Abstractness and proof of God

We often think, when confronted by people who don't believe in the existence of God,with the difficult task of having to prove ourfaith, having to prove the existence of God according to somerulesof inference from observational facts. But is this right thing to do? We should ask ourselves   If this is at all possible, or we're starting from a wrong point of view. So let's first ask this question: can we prove rationally the existence of God?
How would such a proof be structured? Such a prrof would contain some basic truths (or axioms) , rules of inference , some provable theoritcal statements derived from observable facts, accepted other truths(knowledge) or from the axioms. And then it would use the rulesof inferance stated in the begining to obtain a statement about the existance of God from all this previous information. What would such a proof achieve? Would such a proof be about the Real, Living GOD or about something else? Ithinks that carefully understanding these proofs we can easily see that they do not relate to our Living LORD God,but refer to an abstraction, an idea of God. These theoretical proofs are just that, theoretical. But they do notgo beyond the theoretical, which is into reality. And while they prove that give certain contidions and rules , the idea of God is concievable, that the existence of God should be true if these and these circumstances apply, even though those circumstances are observable in reality , that does not translate the result of these inferences into something real. Because the idea of God, the abstraction of God is not the same thing as the LORD God. Proving that God is within reason is impossible, because thatwould prove a limitation and such would be aelf-contradictory.
I think we must try not tofall into this problem, that of abstracticising God. Rather we should see that God is beyond rational proof, because He is beyond rationality , which is not to say at God is irratonal ,rather that He is beyond conceptuality. And being beyond conceptuality is shown times and again by our LORD in the bible. Just try to conceptualise God in the book of Job, to create a rational model of Him. But God, being beyond rational proof is in reach for something else, something much deeper and richer: faith. For in faith God reveals Himself to us through Jesus Christ. And should this faith be blind, or should it be backed up by something else, other that rational proof ( for this is the ultimoate purpose of such ontological arguments - to establish faith rationally, as a rational proven conviction). To back up our faith, to support it, to hold it God gave us experience. god gave us the possibility of first-hand experience of Him through Jesus Christ. And this is what we really need to establish our faith - experience. The catxh is such an experience of our LORD requires faith first-hand, but if you are prepared to tKe a leap of faith, that leap will be supported by the LORD Himself, through first-hand experiencing Him. What more could you want to see or hear or think when you feel God love for you? If you experience a relationship with our LORD what more could ask for to establish your faith. And only now your faith is not blind, because if you experience the LORD you no longer dwell in darkness and in the shadow of death, but you dwell in Light and in Life. And thus you are no longer blind but you , having the Light, can see.
I think this is what we should pray for , an hones loving relationship with our LORD God , and to find all our reasons in this relationship. We should say, like the father of the possessed child in Mark 9:24 " Lord , I belive; help thou mine unbelief".

Significance of Christmas

Between all the dashing and madness that usually means Christmas we have to ask ourselves : do we still have time to see what si real and do we have the ability to distinguish the truth that lies beyond all that is immediate in our reality.
We have to denouce our hypocrisy and ask ourselves: if it was our birthday how would we feel if all those that claim to love us would blatanly ignore us and instead gather toghether to celebrate a lie , without mentioning a word of us or giving a thought about us. If we love or LORD Jesus Christ , how can we agree to celebrate a lie, how can we agree with all the eating and drinking and shopping and not see these gloutonous things for what they really are. They are designed to keep us away from the LORD, to make us stray from His path , to make us forget His Word and to be that which Hie does not want us to be. The signicance of Christmas is this and only this: the celebration of the birth of our LORD Jesus Christ, the celebration of the embodiment of the Word , which came into this world to redeem us. And how can we celebrate the borth of Christ? Through being with Him. Other than our love , our true ,whole, honest love what else can we give to Him , Him which is the King of kings and the LORD of lords. Him, unto which everything was made, by whom everything was made, which has ownership over everything, what else can you give. If we are trully to celebrate Christmas , we can only rejoice in the great love our God the Father showed us, by sending His on,y begotten son, into this world , not to judge it but to redeem it. And we should rejoice for the great act of even greater love which was made by our LORD Jesus Christ, which made Himself flesh and dwelt among us, to bring unto us His light , which shines in darkness to defeat it, , which graces us with truth, unbinds us from death and sin and gives us a way to be children of our Heavenly Father , so that thrugh Him we can be redeemed.
Oh our Heavenly Father , thank you for send us your Son so that we can be released from the guilt of our sins and so that the death penalty for those sins would not be suffered by us. But You, our LORD, or glorious, wonderfull, powerfull, mercifull and extraordinary LORD Jesus Christ, You bore the death for our sins and thus rescued us from an eternity without You and The Father. God, thank you for showing us such great love that we, who are small , wretched and covered in the darkness of guilt , might be uplifted and made clean so we can find our redemption and live with You and God the Father in the heavenly Jerusalem, in the kingdom that You prepared for us from the foundation of the world. Thank Your LORD for sending forth Your Holy Spirit , so that through Him we have a constant testimony of You; our LORD, Your Holy Spirit enlightens us and gives us the power to defeat our shortcomings and evils. Thank your for everything our LORD , God Jesus Christ .

Celebrating GOD

Hello, A few words about what this blog is all about.
In short, this blog is about celebrating GOD, celebrating our LORD Jesus Christ. I want to celebrate His greatness and His wonderfulness.
I want to celebrate Him because he is the greatest one i have ever known. I have never know anyone so interesting, so wonderful, so good and loving. I have really experienced Him in my life, and His experience was the greatest experience of my life. My LORD , loving you was the most rich, rewarding , sometimes painful but equally extraordinary experience of my life. I am disappointed that in the world i see around me i see that people have forgotten to relate to GOD, the have forgotten to celebrate and have faith in Him and as such they are missing on the greatest thing in life. It is tragic to see a person live his life in full oblivion of the LORD's love for him, to spend his days without the closeness of being with GOD , to see people lost because they have not found the simple fact that their way, the only way possible is Jesus Christ LORD.
It's hard to express with words the feelings that you get to feel when you start to grow and cater your relationship with God but a good place to start would be with a feeling of happiness , completeness and a feeling of being loved that you can not get from anyone else.
Maybe reading this you may think that it is all stories , that such a personal relationship is not achievable or that you are not worthy of such a thing; maybe you fear what you will discover along the way; or perhaps you think of what will the world think about you. The fact is there is nothing that you can hear or read beforehand, short of a miracle from the LORD, that can convince you or dispel your fears or answer all your questions. But i can tell you this: no matter where you are, how you are right now , what you have done or what you think you are capable of, doing this is the greatest thing that you can do. And it only takes a step. But this step, this first step, must come from you. God will not make it for you because He is already there; my friend or LORD Jesus Christ is already there, waiting for you with His arms open; all you have to do is take a first step, a step which is a choice. You must choose Him to prove that you want Him instead of the enemy, that you love light more than darkness and that you have faith in His name, just as it is written in the Gospel of John, 20:29: " blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." And the blessing you receive, the greatest blessing that there is is that of being with the LORD Jesus Christ. This small step, this leap of faith , will bring you on the way. And the Way is the LORD Jesus Christ.
So remember that you have only one life. Make it as though it is not yours, but as though your life is Christ's. Because you, even if you don't know it or don't concede it, are His, for you have been bought with a price. So live as though your life belongs to Jesus Christ and you will , i promise you, discover what truly means to be alive, you will discover just how wonderful the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world is, you will discover yourself and through our LORD Jesus Christ come to know and be with GOD. And there is nothing greater that this!
"1.Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
2.Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
3.From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.
4.The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
5.Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,
6.Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7.He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8.That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9.He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD."

Psalm 113 (KJ Translation)
